WW2 Type C Flying Helmet (Combo)

WW2 Type C Flying Helmet (Combo)

£795.00Price
  • An early RAF Type C leather flying helmet in pretty good all round condition, has been leather treated to soften the leather and keep it in better condition. Complete with receivers and bell plug wiring loom, the prominent receiver housings that identify the C type show signs of heat damage or warping, which is in all likelihood original. Early H type oxygen mask is marginally brittle on the bottom edge but still pliable enough for display purposes. Comes complete with microphone and all connection wires. Finally a pair of type VIII goggles that are in great condition with period replacement elastic that would benefit from replacement if you are picky about wearing them as they would have been issued. Otherwise they work on the display without assistance. All round a beautiful display period piece from around 1943. Mannequin head remains with the items so it can be instantly put on display in your collection. To piece this together might take some time with individual parts so priced for convenience.
