WAFFEN SS Armband

A uniform-stripped war souvenir, acquired from a collector from Osterbeek in Holland is this Waffen SS Armband attributed to a member of the 23rd SS (V) Panzergrenadier Nederland Division. This particular rune design was found on many SS physical training vests and no doubt were reconfigured in the field for jackets or coats. This beautifully hand woven design (many were machine woven), on the correct backing canvas for the period, was undoubtedly manufactured in Germany, post 1939, and issued to a member of the SS, though the individual recipient is unknown.
