Vietnam - US Pilot Survival Knife - Ontario

A beautiful original Onatrio Pilot's Survival Knife dated Jan 1969 - one of the very first supply from Ontario, as a number of manufacturers providing combat knives to the US War Dept during the war in Vietnam, this was issued to all airman and aircrews on fixed wing and rotary aircraft. Worn on the webbing belts, at waist or inverted on the shoulder straps. Yet with the constant search for quality equipment across all forces in that war, such knives (also known as Jet Pilot's Knife or JPK's) also found their way into the possession of ground troops such was the strength, reputation, and portability of the blade. The sheath is in gorgeous original condition. No whet stone.
