AN6510 Parachute & Harness

USAAF AN 6510-1 seat pack parachute and harness primarily for fighter pilots, used in Europe and the Pacific throughout those theatres of operation until the end of the war. Despite its wartime use, this parachute pack is in excellent condition, manufactured in Dec 1941, so literally just after the declaration of war against Japan in the aftermath of Pearl Harbour. All parts are date stamped, the pack is complete with lines and 28' canopy and is still, importantly, "Rigger-Packed" which means it was inspected, tightly packed, dated, and tag sealed on the last entry date of the accompanying Inspection Card in this case, May 1945. The AN6510 is extremely hard to find on the collector's market, but with this date of manufacture so early on in US involvement, inspection tag intact, and with provenance of extensive use recorded, it is a super rare find.
